    Default Offer for Crawford

In a 14-team salary cap dynasty league I've been offered:

    Silfverberg
    Palmieri
    2015 2nd

    for

    Crawford
    2014 late round pick

The scoring categories are: G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, Hits, Blocks W, SV%, SO, GAA, Saves. My team is in rebuild mode and my goaltending looks bright for the future with Lehner and Allen. The team who has offered the trade only has Price and Vokoun as goalies. Let me know what you think and if there is any helpful information I am missing.

Start 1G or start 2G league? Roster sizes? Minor league team? Really hard to say anything given the vagueness of the details.

But on first glance, that offers seems way below market value for a first string goalie locked up long term in Chicago.

I think you could do much, much better than that.

Silfverberg and Palmieri are definitely good pieces for your squad, but this is way below market value. You're not receiving any great assets, and Crawford is clearly the best player in this deal. I would stand pat.

Not even close for me to give up Crawford sorry.

I view him as a around 9th best goalie to own given the team he plays on. Maybe even higher.

Echo what has been said... Starting goalies on elite teams always deserve a premium and for me this is nowhere near it.... If you are moving him I'd be surprised if you shopped him you wouldn't be offered more

Crawford is the crown jewel of this trade offer. To move Crawford you'd need a legit top flight player in return. What's being offered does not give you that.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure how close it was to being a good trade. Should I target RNH or Nichushkin from him? He also has the 3rd overall pick this year. I have the 1st.

That's closer than this but as I'd say I'd shop him aggressively especially to teams with poor goaltending as they may over pay

With those league settings, his offer is even worse than I imagined.

I don't think I'd even both counter offering to someone that offered such junk.

Rather, I'd just post a message to all GM's that you are looking to move Crawford.

Your colleague is trying to absolutely fleece you.

I would probably move Crawford for Nichushkin + 3rd overall + Silf or something along those lines if you're confident with your Goaltending long-term w/o Crawford.

Yeah I just took this team over and he is one of the existing GM's, so he's obviously trying to take advantage of the new guy.

I countered with this trade as I am comfortable with my goaltending long-term. He followed up with this:

    Crawford
    Brett Connolly
2014 6th, 7th, 8th round picks (essentially useless to me)

    for

    2014 3rd overall
    Nichushkin
    Palmieri

In a start 2G league, with minors of 75, I still think you can do better. But that offer is a significant improvement over the first crappy offer.

But I still don't like the idea in a start 2 of you putting all your eggs into Lehner and Allen. It's possible that neither one of them becomes a top 10 fantasy goalie.

Perhaps posts this guy's full roster if you want people to make other suggestions. Posting your full roster would help too.

That's the most the GM said he would give, so I'm no longer dealing with him. I'm just going to post that he is available and see if I can get a good deal and if not I won't complain about having him on my roster.

    Thanks for the input guys!
