Not at all. Just a TON of respect for the Kings.
The Rangers are a really solid Eastern Conference team. I'm just not sure that means much now that they are about to face a real juggernaut in the Kings. Sure Lundqvist might steal a game or something, but what's the fun in predicting 5 games.
We heard the same thing when people said they would only beat e penguins if fleury sucked.
if the kings take them lightly, they're gonna have a bad time. Rangers are a deep team with playoff style players.
Yeah there's so much exaggeration in these threads...we got to see 4 of the best goalies in league these playoffs (Price, Rask, Quick and Lundy), none of those guys is WAY better than the others, they're all incredible talents and game changers.
Quick has looked uncharacteristically shaky at times these playoffs but he continues to come up huge when they need him most to and that's what wins championships
If I'm betting, I take the Kings in six.
That said, I'm cheering for the Rangers if but for no other reason than Vigneault redemption (...and the thought of Torts' head exploding from enviable rage).
@SmittysRant
NY in 6
LA will have difficulty containing NY speed, while the Rangers blueline should be able to crimp LA's attack.
THN picked the Flyers over NY, then Pitt over NY as well. Any guess about how they called the MTL series ? and now versus LA ? talk about patterns
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
The Kings' physicality will be too much. They are the best-performing road playoff team in memory. Time and time again they have been tested to the max and came up winners. No reason to think the Rangers can stop this juggernaut. They could steal a couple of games; The King could get locked in and Quick has had at least one stinker in each series. Kings in 6 feels like the right number here.
Kings in 5 and I'll specify: rangers take game 1, kings take the rest.
10 team pts-only keeper league - keep 10 plus 10 from past/present farm. No bench: entire active roster counts. Goalies: 2 pts/win + 3/shutout. 82 adds / year. NHL playoffs count for separate prize.

Rangers in six.........
Hoping for the Rangers....if the Hawks can't repeat, then let's get a team that hasn't won in awhile.
Kings probably take it, but Lundy is a serious x factor. Not to mention the Rangers offense has been picking up a bit lately with Stepan on a hot streak, as well as MSL and Nash finally getting some points on the board. Rangers in 5....I don't know I feel like every game will be a one goal game, with the Rangers just getting that one extra save from Lundy. Also, I don't feel like being boring and predicting 7 games.

Kings are obviously favoured.
The longer this series goes, the Kings have the advantage.
If it comes down to a best of three (split the first home and home) I'll take the Kings all day.
Pretty much the Rangers have to win 3 of the first 4 to have a real good shot.
