This year: Lack; Allen & Anderson; Markstrom; Hackett
Longer-term: Allen; Andersen; Lack; Markstrom & Hackett
This year, I'd put Lack in first (best chance at getting the most starts). But I'm not confident he'll be the best longer-term. I like Allen and Andersen more, but they have more competition in the crease this upcoming year.
Based on your team, I'd ignore Markstrom (unless you think you can win this year and want the handcuff). I'd consider Allen though...

I'm really a bit nervous about the VAN goalies: Lack/Markstrom.
Goalies, at least in fantasy hockey, are (statistically) a big product of the team playing in front of them.
Whenever a team turnsover a GM, I worry for the goalies.
I mean... look at Markstrom... everybody probably would have thought he was the long-term future face of FLA goaltending.
Wrong-O.
Why?
IMO, it's because Markstrom wasn't a "Tallon-piece", he was pre-Tallon, and GMs love putting their stamp on a team.
So with Lack/Markstrom:
a) Linden/(Benning) could stay with both.
b) Linden/(Benning) could want to ride Lack - and move Markstrom.
c) Linden/(Benning) could prefer to ride Markstrom - and move Lack.
I have no idea... and I have no faith picking any of these with confidence.
re: Jake Allen.
While I think Brian Elliott is a decent short-term solution, I (for one) don't believe he will be the #1 long-term goalie there.
I think STL has seen enough out of Jake Allen, for him to be the long-term solution.
With Elliott, signing a goalie for $2.5m/year is a good way to ensure some cap space and have a guy that is "adequate".
But, I think Allen is the prize here.
re: F.Andersen, he'll either be the #1 for ANA or he'll find a way. He looks solid.
Hackett, IDK, I haven't seen enough to be honest... but even if he pans out, his numbers in BUF will be dreadful.
Without knowing what the Ducks will do in the offseason I'd go:
Lack (he should see the lion share of the starts in net 65+ GP)
Allen (being in a tandem situation he will likely get anywhere from 30-40 starts, though he has the potential to run away with the job if Elliott gets injured or goes in a slump)
Andersen (as a starter he should get 50+ starts, but if the ducks bring in a good proven vet to let Gibson get his game on in the AHL the split could be closer to 40 - 45 gp)
Markstrom (is this the year he finally proves his doubters wrong, will he break out and steal the job from lack, or will he continue to bust... too many ?? and Lack is more proven at the NHL level and pretty good himself)
Hackett (Buffalo is a mess, I wouldn't expect much at this point)
BTW... everytime I see this thread I start thinking about different fast-food producers of Chicken Tenders.
I had some at Arby's yesterday.
I just now realize it was probably because I read this thread.
Curse you!
Too early to tell, as it stands today would probably say Lack, Allen, Andersen, Hackett, Markstrom short term.
Long term Allen, Hackett, Lack, Andersen, Markstrom.
I think Vancouver looks to sign a veteran goalie which would shake these rankings up short term and push Lack behind Andersen.

Interesting, everyone else has Hackett last or second to last on their lists, and you have him second long-term. What makes you think this? Honestly asking, as he has been on the radar for awhile now, and although he had a bit of a rough season this year he'd been a very good AHL goalie the two years prior. At one time he was the heir apparent in Minnesota before Kuemper's emergence made him expendable. Not a ton of competition in front of him with Buffalo as Enroth screams career backup to me and Neuvirth....who knows?
Just interesting when one person goes completely against the grain.

Hackett has incredible pedigree. I agree with your thoughts about Enroth and Neuvirth, hence I think Hackett is in line to be the go-to guy in Buffalo. Unfortunately for him, it's a very poor and inexperienced team, but I think as their young D core grows (Ristolainen, Zadorov, McCabe, Pysyk, Myers etc), he could really surprise some people.
