Default Alex Edler: bounce back candidate or bust??

I acquired Edler today, hoping for a nice rebound year, hopefully in another jersey. I didn't follow him at all last season, but it looks like he really struggled. Any thoughts on what next year might bring?

    Thanks

My thinking is it can't be worse.
He did have a 28 point pace and his Shooting % was down a little bit.
If he plays a healthy season, I'd say he'll be in the 35 to 40 point range.

I think he bounces back. To what, i am not sure, but I think a lot will have to do with the new coach and his style of play. If Linden brings the right guy in that fits with the players they have, I think a lot of Canucks will have bounce back seasons on offence, including Edler.

I think it's a smart play if you can get him in the later rounds, but I certainly wouldn't reach for him.

agreed, don't take him over proven talent, but if you are rebuilding or can grab him cheap i think he will definitely bounce back. maybe not as high as before but 35-40 sounds reasonable assuming vancouver doesnt shit the bed again.

I only had 5 D so i needed to make a move and was able to do Henrique straight up for him. Kinda love it, given how valuable D are in our league.

Think he stays in Vancouver or gets moved?

He'll bounce back under a new coach for sure or he might even be traded

He will definitely bounce back. There is no way he can be worse than this year. Three seasons ago he had 22 PPP, this year he had 22 total points.

He should get back to 35-40 and possibly 45 points.

My Wild West article this week focuses on the top five bounce backs in the West - I've included Edler on that. The article should be posted sometime this week. Cheers.
