NYR/HAbs should be another great series.

Perhaps. But I think he's doing a fine job of silencing his critics now. He just out dueled the quote unquote best goalie in the game (and out dueled him pretty easily). He brought a team no one expected to win the first round to the conference finals. He has an 8-3 record, and has been consistently the best player on any team in every game. Olympic gold medal while playing injured.

He may have to do a little more, but I wouldn't say he has "a lot" to prove.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

if he wants to truly silence his critics he needs to win the cup. you can be a top goalie but if you never win the big one that's all people will remember. no denying price is an elite goalie, but if he wants to be labelled the best he needs to continue his play for two more series.

i give up mcgoo. please, anyone, read my posts, tell me if i said the bruins were the better team or w/e it is that mcgoo is insinuating. i said the series was pretty even, and habs dominated tonight when it mattered. if you somehow think that means i think the bruins were the better team tonight then i am at a total loss for words.

We shouldn't post for as long as the Habs are still in it. There is no point discussing things with these types. Canads's team they are not.

Price vs Lundy - another classic duel.

Have to agree, Price was fantastic. The gold medal has done nothing but boost his confidence.

Either way, I think this series will go down to the wire and it's going to end up being Price vs Rask. Whomever is sharper will win the series for the team.
I'm having a celebratory beer for my pre-series projection.

i gave mcgoo a break, let him enjoy his series this round. i even double checked my posts twice to ensure i said nothing negative about the habs tonight, i was completely neutral. and he still blows up on me, like seriously what the hell is wrong with this guy.

Dreger is reporting on Twitter that Lucic threatened Emelin and Weise in the handshake line. If that's true, that's pretty classless. I wonder what he said: "Watch my stick when you turn your back next season?"

Weise says Lucic threatened him in the handshake and said something similarly threatening to Emelin. Emotional series ends with tough words.
    Also...

According to @aaronward_nhl the NHL on TSN crew has slowed video of handshake down and lip-readers should be able to decipher Lucic threat.
