I would keep Neal, although I just know he's going to get hurt again next season, I'm a sucker for the upside. And with Malkin in his prime - that's pretty sweet upside
Who would you keep? James Neal or Jamie Benn? Format is in my signature. I can only keep 4 forwards and have already have Tavares, Kessel and MacKinnon as my other three guys.
Thanks

This is tough. I have both on my main team and like each of their upsides a lot. I think Benn is just about to hit his prime and see him putting up over a PPG on average (between 80-85) with that young Dallas core. IMO, Neal has the "potential" to put up slightly better numbers but he will get hurt, suspended, and run hot and cold when Malkin and others miss time of their own. However, Neal (even if he plays 75 games) will gobble up the PPG/GWG... and IF he played all 82 this year he was pacing 3rd in NHL scoring behind Getzlaf and tied with Giroux. So in the "perfect" season Neal has slightly more overall upside and will win the goal cats. But Benn is a rock, is trending up, has a great line and is reliable. I also think he has another level. Like I said: a toughie. But in your scoring, Neal has the edge.

I really like Benn, he's the heart and soul of that team and he's hitting that perfect power forward peak right about now...I don't trust Neal to stay healthy
Oh man, I'd be all over Benn here. Neal is a wildcard, more risk with just about the same ( ish ) production.
Benn for me -going to be magic with Segiun for the next few years. Like Neal too. Your going to have to redraft him.

I love Mackinnon but Im not sure that I would take him over both Benn and Neal. At minimum I would try to trade one of them for a draft pick or keeper upgrade in a diff position.
I'll say Benn.
Because who knows when Neal is really going to be at his best. He has to be, healthy, not suspended, and Malkin can't be hurt either!

Neal is higher risk, higher reward. If he puts it all together, he could dominate.
Benn's ceiling isn't as high, but is a safer bet.

My main league:
Benn. He'll perform at the same level per game as Neal and isn't as likely to miss games to injury and suspensions at this point. Plus I think Benn could get more done on his own if he had to.

This is what I originally had typed:
I'm similar to most on here... Neal is the riskier option with a "similar" upside. I don't see the upside of Neal being high enough relative to Benn's to warrant the risky pick.
This is what I changed it to after double checking their PPG:
I like Neal a bit more in this format.
Needless to say, it's close.
I own both players. If I had to choose one or the other, I think I'd ultimately take Benn.
I see Benn continuing to progress into one of the best power forwards around. There's not much to dislike about his game. Neal on the other hand has some injury history and is always flirting with suspensions.

In this format... I'm going to go with Jamie Benn.
It's very close, but I do prefer Benn.
I really like Neal - but I see Neal/Malkin is a dynamic duo when both are healthy... and that seems to be getting a bit rare.
I see Benn (going forward) as a very consistent producer with Seguin.
Also, Neal's full multi-cat value is a bit higher i n pools with +/- and SOG... but this pool has neither.
