Sekera or Trouba
first league in my sig, Fowler has been sucking for about a month now and i have waited long past when i should have to do something about it
my other defensemen are Karlsson, Subban, OEL, Wis and Bouwmeester
Sekera and Trouba are the better guys out there and the hotter ones as well
i think it is fair to say that Sekera wouldn't ever enter a keeper conversation given my other guys while there is an outside chance Trouba could be if OEL doesn't get his shite together

Trouba as well. It's remarkable he has played this well at a young age. His scoring and hitting abilities give me the feeling he could be a Shea Weber type player.

Trouba for me too. The combination of offensive skill and daring, with high SOG total for such a young guy, and solid defensive awareness (albeit still raw) is going to spell huge playing time. As mentioned in another post, I think he's as close to a Doughty 19-year old impact as you'll get. And I also read a tweet today that, over the Olympic break he's taking his mother to Bahamas - may seem insignificant to some, but to me it spells "grounded" and shows maturity and that he's got his priorities straight for a guy his age.
Usually the knock on a guy his age (and only having played NCAA) is that post-50 game mark they start to tire, it's unknown territory, so in a one-year league that might be a concern. But this year, the Olympic break will do away with that concern for many young players.

Wouldn't dare drop OEL for Trouba...but I'd certainly prefer him over Fowler.

6 team league where you protect 3 D guys - I think you don't want to draw attention to Trouba before next year's draft so unless he gets significantly hotter just leave him be and pounce on him in the draft next year. But definitely replace Bouwmeester with Sekera for this season. Careful on letting OEL go that could haunt you big time.
