They have to go Anderson here I would think. I think it's a lock that it will be Anderson for sure. He's earned it.
determined at some point, but from my understanding, it will NOT be Jonas Hiller.

Jonas Hiller not expecting to play in opener, but says he's ready when needed.

Hillers situation in Anaheim next year is about to be determined in these playoffs I believe.

I would like to see John Gibson pull a Patrick Roy and win the Stanley Cup as a rookie...
They will start with Anderson and see how it goes. I think he's gonna be solid!
Gibson = Dryden.

I'll put my money on Andersen. No sane coach will give the reins to a goalie who has a grand total of 3 NHL games and is far more unpredictable than Andersen. Something's gotta be wrong with Hiller. He didn't even dress the last 3 games. I think he's got a health issue the Ducks haven't told us about.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Gibson is still the desperation option, which isn't entirely outside the realm of possibility. I could see this Anaheim/Dallas series turning into a shootout ... we might see Gibson sooner that people are expecting. But ultimately, as long as there is no confidence in Hiller, it's Andersen's job to lose. He's got a lot more NHL experience, and that's going to be the rationale that trumps Gibson's stellar 3-game NHL debut.
