So after years of fantasy football and hockey, I've finally made my way into fantasy baseball. I've also never taken part in a roto league, so this should be interesting. How'd I do in my first ever baseball draft? Yahoo standard-scoring, 12-team, roto league:

At first glance, I didn't realize how many injured players I drafted. None are too long term other than Champman, but still.

I like where you got Darvish, Rizzo, Dickey. I didn't know Gonzalez was a Top 5 guy, but then - baseball is my second sport, not my first haha

Ya, I wouldnt mind knowing who the top 4 picks were. I like CarGo and think he's a legit top 10 fantasy pick, but top 5????? Here's hoping for health!!!

Other then that, pretty good draft. Jered Weaver could be a big steal as well.

It went Cabrera, Trout, Goldschmidt, McCutchen, Cargo, Kershaw, Braun, David, Stanton.

I've just been offered McCutchen for Cargo straight up. Do I take it? Cargo has been on fire to start the season but the injury threat is always there.

Personally, if your roster can handle him (position wise), I'd do that deal in a blink.

It would be OF for OF so positionally it's no big deal. I just kind of think McCutchen is overrated. Cargo will put up huge numbers if he can stay healthy. Plus, I don't love the surrounding cast in Pittsburgh nor do I like the ballpark there for righties. BUT, McCutchen will likely stay healthy all year and is as well rounded as they come. Still not sure on this one...

I appreciate the response. I'm still not sure if I'll do it or not. This is a roto league so I need to look at it a little closer and see where I'm weak in the hitting department.
