apparently george parros put a dent in it just before the parade last year, and they had to disassemble to cup to fix it. the vestiges of the dent are still there.

personally I liked it better when they didnt have the douchebag chaperone following it around everywhere, thats gotta be sorta lame trying to have a good time with it with your Dad looking on -lol

thats weird...the link was working before...and now I cant find the story. Basically it said that the team was celebrating at Chelios\' bar and Chelios was holding the Cup on top of the bar in celebration...passed it to Lebda who was a little tipsy...and in the hand off, it was dropped. Alcohol was the main cause, and the dent was definitely not minor, according to the article.

It also went on to say that Parros dented it so bad the previous season that they needed to disassemble the Cup and put it back together. Like it was mentioned before, part of the dent could not be fixed and is still there. It\'s a little piece of history for Parros..prob did it on purpose! ha!

kidding aside though, i actually met parros at my work and he is a good guy. smart as hell too.
