Do we all see Varlamov and Colorado repeating this next year? He might be in the convo but damn.

He will out point your forwards and is honestly your best player.

This year 17 Goalies hadr 25 wins and 11 had over 30.

    25 Wins = 125 points
    1500 Saves = 300
    150 GA = -150

Still a 275 point goalie and I think W/SV could be higher.

Ovechkin only rings in at 240 points with FIFTY GOALS

If you have a league forum, I'd suggest you dig back a bit and look at past drafts. Where do high-end goalies tend to go in the draft, compared to top forwards? That should give you an idea of whether Varly will be easier or harder to re-draft than Hall/Duchene.

Also, look at past trades. Have guys of Hall/Varly/Duchene's calibre been flipped in the offseason before? What kind of picks did they go for? That should give you some idea of what you are likely to get if you trade one.

I'd keep Tavares, Kane and Hall. I think it's just a matter of time before Hall takes that next step....he's already in PPG territory. If he can stay healthy, I think he'll also end up being a beast.

Since 25w 1500 saves 150 goals against is an easy target for mid-range goalies, and still comes in at 275 points, he could draft top players, and mid goalies.
This is all arbitrary, so bear with me:

    Varly – 400pts – 1st round
    Bernier – 320pts – 2nd/3rd round
    Crawford – 305 pts 2nd/3rd round
    Duchene – 200 - 1st round
    Kane – 200 - 1st round
    Karlsson – 190 - 1st round
    Backstrom – 200 - 1st round
    Kunitz – 190 - 1st round
    Sharp -210 - 1st round

Goalies get more points. Honestly I rather draft Backstrom (200) and then Bernier (320 who would get 350 in 2014) than draft Varly (400) and then Skinner (160). So it depends when goalies get drafted, but it seems like a goalie in 1st round will get 100pts more than a goalie in the 2nd round. It’s up to how you want to structure your team

This is sound advice. It all depends on how you want to structure the team. If all things left equal, the way your league is setup, goalies will get more points in your league. That said, it is H2H. Choices are -
    a) Keep your best forwards (Tavares, Kane, Hall), and draft good goalies and balance depth. There is also merit in trying to trade Hall+Duchene for a stud Forward upgrade (don't think you will be able to get Sid, Malkin, Ovi but you can try for Giroux, Perry), OR
    b) Keep 1 goalie and 2 forwards with the thought of getting really good scoring depth in the draft.

The choice is yours to make but as already mentioned in an earlier post, checking out past drafts in your league may help you make that choice. Left to me I would go with Option B.

tavares, hall, kane - i think duchene is a close 4th but need to look at their g/gp and that's the telling part with hall and kane over duchene - i think trading hall or duchene is the same thing given each guy misses anywhere from 5-15 games a season because of their style of play.
