The GOT exhibit was over last month... it was very underwhelming, so if you didn't get a chance to go you didn't miss out on much.

The only worthwhile thing I got out of it was to sit on the Iron Throne! Forget the Lannisters... all hail HOUSE BLAYZE!

hey guys, I just read this entire thread. Good conversation. The parts about negrep suck, but whatever. There are a few hints at spoilers. Just be careful. The comments were vague and I'm not done with Dance of Dragons, but it sounds like spoilers.

Oberyn's death was so disappointing. My friend is watching the show without reading and we were talking about him before the latest episode. I knew what was happening. I loved Oberyn and thought he was such a badass. I said as much to my friend and he was so pissed. "No spoilers dude, youre an *******" was I an *******? I don't think so. He strutted around King's Landing all season telling everyone he is there for revenge. the Red Viper, an amazing fighter. Strong, confident, a true badass. Overzealous and lustful. dead.

My question to everyone here. Did I spoil it for my friend? I don't think I did and purposely mislead. In the book and the show, Oberyn was built to be a badass. Thoughts?

Definitely not going to miss that redhead wildling chick. The scene with the mammoth and giants at the gate was amazing.

The finale should be off the charts.

But god dammit not Pyp AND Grenn! I wish they had explained the giant in the tunnel was the King of Giants and the most fearsome of all. Could have added a little more drama or whatever but I like how they did it regardless. Can't really complain about an episode that's just one big fight scene.

It's been awhile since I've read ACOK so maybe I've forgotten but I didn't think there was a big difference between the book and show in that episode. Come to the book thread and refresh my memory. And there is still one episode left this season, too.

The giant-in-the-tunnel battle is also not given a full account in the book. Perhaps the producers were simply staying true to the text on that one. Saves them going stupidly overbudget with CGI (not that it looked like they skimped).
