I think our league is going to move to an NFL style format where your playoffs end a week or two early.
I once traded Henrik Lundqvist and Ilya Kovalchuk in return for Peter Budaj and Henrik Zetterberg… have lived in shame ever since.

Bloody hell. I think I should still be okay this week, but without Kunitz and Crosby tonight it could get a bit scary. Horrible. Finally have Crosby healthy for H2H playoffs and the Pens pull this nonsense.

My title week is next week. Sure hoping this doesn't impact me too much. My thinking is he probably doesn't sit all of the last week, probably plays Wednesday vs. Detroit, sits Saturday vs. Philly, and then plays Sunday vs. Ottawa. Try and keep a balance between having him rested and having their lines firing on all cylinders come playoffs, but that could just be wishful thinking

I barely won my semi-final by one goal and one PPP (H2H, 13 cats). If I hadn't pulled through with Crosby taking the day off I would have been pissed. Hopefully that is the last rest he takes.

Really hoping Crosby and Kunitz play the rest of the week. With Doughty looking doughtful, Okposo's condition, perhaps his very existence being highly classified, Sekera...I guess I'm dropping Sekera....gonna be a rough finals week.

I brought this up in a few past threads - the Pens, despite their immense talent, are not fantasy-friendly in certain formats, especially H2H weeklies. Their team (and salary cap) is driven by a handful of stars and because of that they run these players into the ground and are extra cautious with their injuries. Injuries that keep most players out for a few days or a week magically keep Pens out for weeks or a month. The Pens really have no choice as they need to preserve these guys for the long haul. But it happens all the time. I had Crosby in 2 leagues this year and I am eliminated in both. In fact, I should have won the championship but Sid came up tiny last week and was scratched Sunday night (the final night of our season). If Sid got me 1 goal 1 assist more last week I would have won. Ironically, in my big league, the team who drafted Sid (and still has him) has never won the cheese.
