    Default Help rank these prospects?

Would appreciate some help... how would you rank these D prospects based on upside potential a few years down the road?

    League points + PIM : G / A / PPP / +- / PIM

    Jake Gardiner
    Eric Gelinas
    Ryan Murray
    Hampus Lindholm
    Cody Ceci

    Thanks

Personally, I would rank as follows:

Lindholm (I like this kid's approach, smooth and OEL-like)
Ceci (looking good in his first pro season, future is bright, could be tops on this list)
Murray (will be good, but seems to lack high end offensive potential though)
Gardiner (who knows what the future holds here, could be higher on the list depending)
Gelinas (I admit I don't know a lot about him)

None of these Dmen are big on PIMs, so you're looking at point potential only IMO.

    Totally agree with this.

Hampus Lindholm - He'll a top blue-liner on the Ducks team for many years. Just be patient with his development.

Ryan Murray - There was a time this year where he was on fire, but then he got hurt I fully believe he can reach his potential; I saw flashes of it this year.

Cody Ceci - He'll be a darn-good defensemen when he fully develops. Ottawa is just really hard to watch right now; hardly any defense.

Jake Gardiner - He's the wildcard of this list. He is just now starting to heat up. He was good a year or two ago, but has struggled up until recently. I can see him and Morgan Rielly being a nice 1-2-punch down the road.

Eric Gelinas - I like Gelinas as much as the next person, but I think compared to all the other guys you listed, his ceiling is the lowest. Could be a nice fantasy defensemen if he sees time on the PP.

Some great comments so far. I'll add: Lindholm has a couple of guys named Fowler and Vatanen to contend with. Who gets the cookie there remains to seen. Murray opportunity is seriously contested, no shortage of competition for ice time there. Ceci is behind EK but after that I really like his opportunity. Gardiner and Rielly, yes this is perhaps the future but man, these guys are brutal defensively, they will both need to improve. Gelinas I agree has the lowest ceiling and lets not forget this Larsson guy who is also in the mix in NJ. My ranking would be: Ceci, Lindholm......Murray, Gardiner...Gelinas

    I'd rank them:

    Ceci
    Lindholm
    Gardiner
    Murray
    Gelinas

A bunch of really quality prospects in this list, but I think in terms of overall value that's how I would rank these guys.
