Pekka Rinne or Cam Ward better options that Luongo?

Luongo has been decent for me all year, but his move to Florida is detrimental. While Halak's move was equally bad as it represented a major drop off, at least Washington has decent players and scoring to help him with some wins.

Do I keep Luongo or pick up Rinne/Ward?

Wouldn't touch Ward with a 10 foot pole. I'd stick with Luongo who at least isn't an injury risk. Can't honestly say I believe Rinne is a better option than Luongo at least for the next 15 games or so.

I tend to agree. I think Luongo is the best player by far, but I'm not convinced his situation in Florida helps his, or my, cause.

I like Pekka Rinna a whole lot going forward, but really for me that value takes effect starting next year. The fact of the matter is that Rinne just hasn't been healthy long enough for me to completely trust him -- especially on NSH. It's not like FLA is a dynamite team in any sense of the word; however, Luongo has the health advantage / the skillset is about equal, perhaps slight edge to Lu / Lu's #1 status is more "workhorse-ish" for the stretch run, and I just trust Luongo a bit more for the remainder of 13-14. Next year, however, I would rank:

Roberto Luongo

luongo wouild be no better on the canucks right now. florida is not the best but vancouver has been terrible. years ago when luongo was in FLA he put up good numbers on a bad team and id bet he can still put up numbers on a weeker team.
