Giroux is an 80-86 point player right now IMO. But he can flirt with 95+ if the Flyers add another pure sniping winger to play with him. Numbers aside, he's a great all-around player.

Giroux is a great own for fantasy GMs. He may not have the elite upside of a Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos, but his combo of points, ice time, age, durability make him a fantastic own in just about any league format at great value. One year, limited keeper, dyno, pts only, SOG, hell even hits....I'll take him.

Gimme Giroux. If he got to play with Benn, my god. That said, Seguin gets to play with Benn and that makes it a conversation but no, still Giroux.

Yeah I've been working an upgrade on my keeper, and get Giroux for Seguin plus.. but his 3 point night has me pondering..

But I think Giroux is the right choice too..

The only players I would have considered trading Giroux for (that I don't own) are Stamkos, Malkin, Ovi and Karlsson. I couldn't say no to swapping him for the best dman in fantasy hockey, but if an offer didn't include one of the listed players, you would have had to pry Giroux out of my cold dead hands. The manager that swapped him to me for Sedin is just sick to his stomach right now.....the turn-around happened literally days after he got fed up and dumped him, haha.

Personally, I'm not a Seguin rooter but the numbers are indisputable. Him and Benn are flat out scary together and you can bank on 74-82 from him I would imagine. That said, I think Giroux has the slight edge overall and roughly a +10 point upside.

We only keep 4 so I traded Quick and Seguin (couldn't keep both) for him to a team rebuilding over the summer. At the start of the season I wanted to throw up and thought it was the worst trade I've ever made. Thank God he's back. I fell in love with him after he manhandled Sid and the Pens during that one shift in the playoffs. I think it was a win/win for both teams.
