Sregi Kostitsyn or Milan Lucic

I\'m short on LWers on my team. If everyone had a choice between this 2 guys...who would it be? I don\'t have any 3rd round picks so I would have to pick one of them in the 2nd round. Which one will get more points next year? I love Milan in Boston ( Bruins Fan) he\'ll get me 30-35 points and 100 PIM...Kostitsyn maybe 35-40 points and 40 PIM ? Any input would be appreciated. they both show potential......but I think S. Kostitsyn will one day explode, maybe not next year, but i see it happening

Corv thanks for your response.....I\'m a Bruins fan so my judgement may be clouded...just wondering if your were a Canadians fan?.....I ask because I was just wondering if that may cloud your view.....I know I have trouble when its comes to drafting a Montreal player over a Bruins player because I\'m a fan....in this case I think your right.Kostitsyn should be more of a point guy whereas Milan will get more PIM....I think?

Depends on your scoring. Kostitsyn is likely to get you more points while Lucic will get you pims. Personally, I think that Lucic is underrated. I could see him getting in the area of 45 points with 150 penalty minutes. Lucic is going to be a star in Boston. The \'next Neely\'.

I like this. Lucic might be a stretch for 45 points but he surely is very underrated.

However, I think Kostitsyn should easily outpoint Lucic so if you are somewhat weak offensively, you gotta take him.

Hey Boston

I watched Lucic here in Vancouver when he played for the Giants and he was my favorite player. I would take him over Sergei Kostitsyn for a couple of reasons.
I think he is going to be a star. He really impressed me in Junior. He has lots of heart and grit and will be a fan favorite in Boston. If he doesn\'t pan out, you being a Bruins fan, can keep an eye on him and pull the trigger if need be. Sometimes you need to have one player on your squad who you really enjoy watching, it makes you more interested in how your team is doing.
Keeping in mind i and not totally familiar with your pools\'s point system, I agree with you on the PIM, at the very least Lucic will keep up with Kostitsyn Pts output by PIM. Lucic also has a bit of a nose for the net and some decent hands. Milan will get points, but Sergeilooks to have a bit of a mean streak in him and might have a decent PIM output too.
I\'d go with the hometown hero.

Right now, I would give the edge to S. Kostitsyn over Lucic. I am also biased a bit being a habs fan, but man, SK really impressed me this year. He came in the middle of the season and adapted his game to the NHL level rather quickly. He is also quite a good sniper to my opinion.

On the other hand, Lucic also has great potential and lots of character, but I still don\'t think he will reach his upside as fast as Kostitsyn will.

I would love to own either of them. I agree that Kostitsyn will outpoint Lucic. I love Lucic\'s game and he will be the face of the Bruins. Exactly the kind of player that the Canucks need. Boston fans are going to love the guy.

well as a habs fan I still take lucic...I was really impressed with that kid last year and I see him becoming a force in Boston.
