Good deal for Phillips and the team. He really didn't want to leave. Wife is from Ottawa, owns a business there, legacy player ( Alfredsson left ) etc. etc.
Best part for Phillips is he was his own agent in making the deal #moneysaved

Well this year especially it's because everyone knows they need a winger upgrade on Crosby's right. Anyone who's not curious who will be playing with the best player in the world just isn't being a good owner.

Wow - Sens were able to get Edmonton to retain half of Hemsky's salary. Can't fault Ottawa at all for making that deal.

If Edmonton had to retain Hemsky salary then it makes you wonder if it's still a buyer's market for forwards. We'll see when Moulson or Vanek gets moved.
