What ever he loses in offence, he makes up in peripherals in St. Louis. Multi cat., I think he blossoms.

The Perron trade never made sense… it has been Armstrong's most questionable move to date. The Blues were so focused on keeping size up front in Stewart that they moved the wrong guy. They weren't beat by the Kings two years in a row because they were to small or less physical. They were the more physical team, but they couldn't score. Stewart has been poor again this year.. so inconsistent, and poor defensively. Perron is a much better player. Oh well… Jaskin will take over Stewart's spot and Ott is a great guy to head into the pot-season with. Great on face-offs and all of the intangibles.

I read somewhere that Halak may be flipped to Minnesota by the deadline. That would be funny- West-East-West. Maybe he should hold off on his flight to Buffalo.
I'm sure he'd love to be back in the Central div.

Hey Bomm, how's Sabres' nation taking the news?

Look at the bright side, the Sabres should have new cross-promotional opportunities with Buffalo's other attraction (Niagara Falls) as they are both plummeting onto the rocks!

Good. Weird but good. Murray is the first GM i have had faith in for a very long time. So i am veryexcited. This and moves to come are the thing for me.

sabres have sooooooo many picks its ridiculous. if i were an incoming gm, this would be an ideal situation. why? because if you have a decent/good team, youre expected to win, you could lose your job quickly if you dont win. however, if youre rebuilding, you can give the '5-year plan' bs and survive at least 3 years since noone expects you to win anyway.

Murray is a breath of freash air. Reads the hand he's dealt and then like a good fantasy GM wipes the team clean and loads up on picks and commodities. I hope it woks out. So far, so good, but the real tests are coming. What kind of return will he get for Ehrhoff and Moulson?

I'm just curious why nobody is talking about the fact that Buffalo is getting a 2015 1st (strong draft)....and if Miller re-signs in StL, a 1st round pick in 2014 too.

Because nobody cares about very late first round draft picks...
Even if the pick turns into a true NHL'er, he is years away and very unlikely to be an impact player.

Also... The 2016 3rd can also become a 2014 1st if the Blues make it to the Conference Final.
