Wow I'm surprised by the MSL asking for a trade news.

The rumours that the NYR and TB were working on a deal involving Marty going to NYR before the Olympics now makes total sense

I am surprised to hear it as well. Its not like Tampa Bay hasn't been playing well, and St Louis always struck me as a team guy, as opposed to one that put him ahead his team.

I am equally as surprised to read the second part you wrote above regarding Tampa trying to move him. He fits with every line he is put on and makes the players better.....makes no sense to me.

From what I thought I knew about St. Louis, he was a very hard worker and leads by example....exactly what you want all of those young guys to see. I would be wrried that he is a little bit of the glue that keeps them on track.....

But alas, I am just a fantasy GM, full of half truths, overvalued player beliefs, blurred fan glasses.

Totally agree with you Fulcrum. I have lost a little respect for Marty, but when I think back to the press conference he had after being added to Team Canada, something just didn't feel right.
He seemed to be choosing his words very carefully and biting his tongue. For a guy who wanted to be on the team so badly, wher was the joy and excitement?
Same with his post Gold Medal interview, he just seems p***ed still.
