I would rather have Backes than Eberle.
Is he worth a FA pick up with the current roster I have below?
He's off to a pretty good start, plays the pp and get 19-20mins a night.
Is he better than Erikson, Stepan, Ribeiro, Wheeler?

F: Malkin, Spezza, Erikson, Moulson, Vanek, Eberle

Really! Over Eberle? Why?

Maybe Backes over Wheeler... theres a strong possibility that they could get around the same points. Hitchcock said he was going to focus on offense more this year so a bit more than Backes usually gets could be very close to Wheels. I'd like to know does Backes play on the PK? Since you have those SHG SHA that could be a nice bonus cause I doubt wheeler is on the PK. Im in the middle of something or else I would check frozen pools. Ill do it later if no one else gets to it before me. I'm holding onto my Wheeler cause I know he will pick it up and is good for 60-70, and I also have Backes.
In other news I feel Eberle over Backes especially with +/- not an issue. Oilers could break out on absolute fire at anytime.........over the next couple years =)

He's playing top minutes on a great team and looking good doing it. I'd look to drop Wheeler for him probably. Too bad your league doesn't count Hits and PIM.

Love Backes, but lets not get confused here. With your set up and if you want to win its Eberle you want. Backes is good for around 50-60 Points and some shp, he might outscore Wheeler, but dont count on it.

Hitch is preaching offense this season, so Backes might be in for a big year. I would also dump Stepan for him. No Nash is bad news.
