No I agree whit you Holtby > Miller better team for Holtby...
Holtby was dropped and I've put in a waiver claim.
This may sound crazy as during the draft I wouldn't have even compared the two. With that said, Miller has been lights out, posting 77 saves on 80 shots (1.53 GAA, .963 save %), while Holtby - as everyone knows - has been terrible.
For clarification: I don't doubt Holtby. The only reason I am asking this is Miller is my 3rd goalie, and while I believe holtby is an excellent goaltender he also has a great backup behind him in Neuvirth. Do you think Holtby is at risk of losing the spot as a clear-cut starter? I am afraid that if I drop Miller for Holtby, holtby splits the gig with Neuvirth while Miller keeps getting his starts. What are your thoughts?

Really, really small sample size.
Take a look at last season and take into account that Buffalo should be even worse this season. And Washington should be better IMO.
I would take Holtby rather than sticking with Miller.

Really hard to drop a proven vet, but Holtby is in a better position to succeed this year.

Yes, Holtby is at a higher risk of getting less starts than Miller.
But I'd still take the gamble and make the switch.
To me, Miller only makes sense if you think you can hold him next year...he'll be playing somewhere else and could have substantial value, depending on where he goes...
There is no doubt in my mind that Holtby is the better own this year

Thanks for the input everyone.
My one fear though is that he is a UFA this summer so I am assuming it is likely he will get traded at the deadline. Miller on a different team could make him be one of the best goalies to own for fantasy playoffs.
bump for any more input. Would be much appreciated!
The question is "can you wait until the trade deadline for a what if?" I would personally take a known, although risky commodity in Holtby than hope for a what if. As others have already said Holtby might miss starts due to Neuvirth but then again maybe not. In addition, taking your cats into consideration Holtby should put up better stats overall.
Holtby > Miller.
Though... if ever goalies are in question, I find a way to hold them both and drop a skater (temporarily).
Well if it's the Miller we saw last Friday against Ottawa, I wont gamble against him same with a poor Buffalo squad.
