OV + Pavelec for my Green and Niemi. What do you think? I'm pretty stocked at D with Burns, Voynov and Karlsson. I can lose Niemi if Schneider is truly #1 in NJ, which sure seems likely. Seems like a no-brainer for me. Thoughts?

I'd do this deal. Keep in mind, Burns will enjoy his D placement for this year, but you can bet that he will lose it next season should he manage to stay a forward all this year. This is like trading a top 3 pick in a draft for a 2nd and 5th round pick (not to mention you get back a top 20 goalie). Jump on this like any GM in the NHL would.

Looks good to go, do you have any wiggle room to negotiate ? It would be interesting to see if he has another keeper to choose between. The drop off between Niemi and Pav is pretty big in some of your periphrels and even though Schnieds s/b the #1 loyalty may say that they still give Brodeur 35 of the easy starts this season. If he hesitates jump all over his offer, OV is on the way back to multi-cat studsville.

Got it, guys. Thanks. His other G is Backstrom. Don't think he will give him up. Though if I want to go short a D or get rid of Pavs, Varley, Nabby, Halak and Bishop are all FA's. Any of those a better option than Pavs? Varley and Nabby will certainly get a ton of starts.
