Did anyone else notice that the top Canadian in the penalty minute department was Brent Burns with 16?

There were two Norwegians, three Swedes, one German, one Swiss and even one guy from France with more time in the sin bin than any Canadian player.

Of course the animosity in the USA/Finland games didn\'t serve to keep the players penalty minute totals down.

I think it\'s a case of us learning to stay out of the penalty box. For years, we had stubbornly refused to change our style of play in international events. We would call the officiating brutal (that hasn\'t changed) and think our way of playing very physical was the only way to play hockey.

Congrats to the hockey players for realizing that nothing is better than winning and to the brass at hockey canada for putting the right people in charge of selecting the players that represent Canada.

I agree - you don\'t get to the gold medal game by allowing yourself to be victimized by a hyper-skilled powerplay night after night.
