    Default Lehtonen vs. Holtby (REP!)

My league counts wins, shutouts and OTL
    2 pts for wins
    3 pts for shutouts
    1 pt for overtime loss

Do you think Lehtonen outpoints Holtby in this regard or vice versa?

Rep on its way for everyone who answers

    thanks boys

Whew tough one, Lehtonen is a bonafide starter, but he's on a potentially weaker Dallas team and has the injury cloud follow him around.

Holtby has the potentially better team in front of him (new division may change things..) but this will be his first kick at being a legit starter from the get go.

I think of the two I might gamble on Holtby, sounds like Washington is throing their lot behind him (at least to start the season) as the guy in the crease and if that's the case I like his upside in the season more then Lehtonen.

I'm willing to gamble on Holtby here too. I see him getting the lion's share of starts in Washington and I have a great feeling that the Caps are going to be a force this season. Really like what I have seen towards the end of last year with Oates behind the bench.

Add in Lehtonen's injury history and it helps make the decision a little easier for me

    This is a good one.

I like Lehtonen but I would probably go with Holtby here. He established himself as the clear cut starter in Washington last year and I don't forsee that changing anytime soon. Washington should be the better team and offer more for wins then Lehtonen. It will be close but I think Holtby will be just a hair better for your stat setup.

You wouldn't go wrong with either really.

I would go with Holtby. Holtby established himself as the number one guy in Washington last year. Washungton is a good team and he will continue to put up good numbers. Lehtonen is injury prone and plays on a bad Dallas team so his numbers will not be as good.

I'll gamble on Holtby as well and it comes down to the team. I rather trust WAS to win more games from their offence than I expect DAL to win from theirs.

I agree with the consensus here: Holtby. For me, this would be closer if it was a one year league...but even then, I'd still roll with Holtby as Washington will be a lot better than Dallas this year. Holtby has too much potential...at his age, he's a guy I'd want on my team.

I would much rather have Holtby.
