I should of expected it but I never thought Giordano would be the new Flames captain, I just think of Iggy... But good for him on sporting the "C"

I never really thought of Giordano as a captain but in this case I think he's the best choice available. Plus his contract lasts for three more seasons so it's not like they are in danger of having him hit the UFA market anytime soon.

I have no idea how vocal he is in the locker room and whether or not he's a jerk (doesn't seem to be though), but in terms of leading by example I'd say he's a solid choice.
IMO the locker room stuff is overrated, good or bad. Gio is a warrior on the ice.
