    Default Neal 1000%

Malkin has something to prove this year...and no better benefactor then Neal. May top 90 pts if healthy.

Neal is probably a better producer right now for this format but I don't think that means I could take him over Hall.

just going over their last 3 years and using only the goal and assists scoring in your cats this is what I see:

    Hall:

    g a pts
    13 68 81
    24 52 76
    19 40 59

    Neal:

    g a pts
    63 30 93
    120 82 202
    66 48 114

Not sure that Hall is that much better in all the other cats but those #s above tell me that Neal is the guy to stick with!

Not sure where you get Hall's numbers from. It should be:

    48+68=118
    81+52=133
    66+40=104

But the most important production to look at is recently, because now Hall is growing into an elite player.

118 for Hall vs 93 for Neal last season.

Pro-rate to a full season and that's 29 goals and 62 assists = 87+124=211. Which is already higher than Neal's 2011/12 season. Can Hall score more than 29 goals - absolutely and that would propel him even higher. Sure, the assists may not be as high, but I would bet on a 90 point season (say 40-50, equal to 120+100=220 in your format) for Hall over that for Neal.

However, hits and the other cats may change the totals so...

Pmkidd - what are the fantasy points for each of them last season (and pro-rate up to a full season to compare with 11/12 for Neal)? Per game numbers would help as well as this is a H2H league.

Also, a suggestion for possible future threads, be sure to provide the total numbers (+ per game) so we don't have to do the calculations for you. This is always helpful when discussing points leagues. This would also give us a clearer picture of their real value from the start.

Last year's ppg pace was no fluke, and he will get better as the kids in Edmonton get better around him.

What did Neal have in 2011/12?

    Hall in a full season would be 149/45 x 82 = 271

That would be a more relevant comparison, if we assume both have very good seasons, to see how much the peripherals affect their totals. I expect Neal to be better than his 12/13, but Hall could go even higher than his last year as well (or at least more goal heavy).
