Ribeiro & Ovechkin tied for the NHL league lead in PPP: 27.
So I think you are wearing blinders if you don't accept that statistic.

Sure, but I watched a lot of the capitals games and from what I saw, Ribeiro was making the plays that were making points happen. It wasnt just Ovechkin making the plays, the points were coming because of plays Ribeiro made. Thats why I said his production isnt simply a byproduct of Ovechkin.

Prior to last season (in which he was on pace for over 80 pts), Ribeiro put up 70+ pts (or better) 5 seasons in a row (some of those seasons are prorated).

I don't think he will come close to 80+ pts in Phoenix. I also don't think he can achieve over 70 pts, but I do believe that 65ish pts is realistic for a player of Ribeiro's caliber. None of the other forwards in consideration here have ever scored over 70 pts in a single NHL season, so I honestly don't even know why they are options (Pavelski, JvR, Gagner).
