Like Rata, i believe Drouin should be rank 2nd or even first. He is a superb offensive player.

Try and trade your 4th and 10th overall to the manager who owns 1st overall. If you magically get that pick, your job of drafting Mackinnon and Drouin will help alleviate any more hard drafting decisions.

I'd love to do that, but I'm pretty sure that will not happen.

For the 2nd overall, considering that Mackinnon will most probably be drafted first, I'm having a real hard time figuring out who to take between Drouin and Barkov.

Both have similar upside. So I have to consider the other stats.

I've read that Barkov is a Getzlaf type of player. So he should contribute in hits, but not so much in shots.

What about Drouin... I doubt he hits much, but will he contribute a ton on shots playing with a shoot first player like Stamkos?

Take Drouin without a second thought. This guy could be the 18 yr old version of Martin St.Louis. The first two picks should be automatic, any other player than those two would be reach in my opinion.

Barkov definitely doesn't have the upside Drouin does. He is for sure your pick at second if Mackinnon goes first. It's not close and should be a non-starter as a discussion.

Drouin CAN also shoot the puck and score. He had 41 goals in 49 games.

I think you have to take Drouin d'asile with your second pick.

Could you package your 4th and 10th for 3rd and something later?
Take Drouin and Barkov. Cover all your bases.

That's my list, except I have Nichuskin ahead of Lindholm, and Horvat and Wennberg as a toss up.

Thank you all for the advice!

Seems like Drouin is the overall concensus.
