any significant changes to the layout or features.
They always take it down for "Maintenance" but I don't know what that really means as I see no improvements really.
I wish they would allow trading of the picks during the season.
So dumb
Site is back up, these positions should hold until season starts. Few things of note that may help with keeper decisions.
Burns is listed as RW (unlikely to regain D eligibility)
Seguin is listed as RW (will get C/RW)
Benn is listed as C (will get C/LW)
Pavelski is listed as RW (likely will get C/RW)
Silfverberg is listed as LW
Nyqist is listed as center (Likely to get some kind of dual)
Skinner is listed as LW
Ovechkin is listed as LW (likely will get LW/RW)
Ryan is listed as LW (unlikely to regain dual eligibility)
Zetterberg is listed as C (likely gets LW/C)
Duchene listed as C (unlikely to get dual)
Semin listed as LW
Neal listed as RW
P. Kane listed as C (will get dual RW/C)
JVR listed as C (will get C/LW)
Huberdeau listed as C (will get C/LW)
Just some initial musings. Dual eligibility always increases the value of a player as it adds more flexibility to your lineup, it's always helpful to predict which players will receive it. Initial thoughts is Burns is hurt by his listing, Where as Seguin, Pavelski, Ovechkin really get added value from their listings.

Agreed. Trading of picks need to be implemented. I don't see any real significant changes no. Scoring cats look the same, still no shootout goals (should be an available category). The also need to come out with an ESPN fantasy hockey app. They have it for football, basketball, and baseball, and have for 2 years. I don't see what the hold up is for hockey.
hmmmm.
just checked the site.
Not working for me.
Still down for maintenance it says.

Sharp is listed as RW - he never got LW status last year but if so long as Kane doesn't start at C, I imagine he and Hossa will be playing RW and thus Sharp gets LW.
Ryan's dual is a toss up IMO at this point.
Ott is also listed as C but could get LW added?

Yea, I know there are other available applications that work. Just going to the website on my iPhone works. It's more an annoyance on the lack of priority the show to hockey. ESPN releases their own official Football, Basketball, and Baseball apps which are optimized for their site. It basically should be a copy/paste of the code with a few minor edits for the hockey one. And I remember last year after the first time ESPN was "done" their maintenance and I got back on the site for the next couple weeks it would randomly go down and come back up.
Is E Staal just C now? Reason I ask is he was C/LW all last season for pretty much no reason.
Yes, E.Staal is just center. I'm not sure if he will get dual back. Depends if they true the Staal experiment again, and for how long.
Just another reason why ESPN sucks.
So I get burned with Nyquist, Huberdeau, and Johannson all be called centers when they are cleary wingers and I am banking on them be wingers. They're so quick to correctly position Burns and Duchene but they get the wingers wrong. Every adjustment that went for my team was a negative. F^%$ ESPN!
I know they'll probably get positions added but I'm still POed right now.

I'm super annoyed they didn't let the Burns thing slide, but happy about Pavelski so it is kind've a wash for me. I wouldn't be too worried about Nyqist, he will probably have his wing eligibility by the start of the season. I'd be more worried about Johansson, Huberdeau should get it in the first two weeks.
although mostly true, Zibanejad and Turris have lost thier C\RW, now only C eligable.

We love it. Works just as well on smartphone browsers as ESPN, you have a shitload of control when it comes to tweaking settings. You can set the position eligibility for each player exactly how you want it. Only downside is that it's not quite as pretty as ESPN, but in my mind functionality ALWAYS trumps looks. It's not like Fantrax is ugly anyway.
GO WINGS!
