    Default seguin+j.schultz for letang+tarasenko

    G-A-PTS-+/-

Positions matter in our keep 10 league

We start 12 Fwds Feds and 9 D

Which side of the deal wins?

Also same deal as above but what if Benn was included instead of seguin?

    Appreciate your advice

    Thanks

Seguin has more upside than tarasenko while Letang is established and Schultz could have a poor sophomore season, though his potential in that format is similar to Letang. Tarasenko had a concussion issue last season which is a concern given his diminutive stature. Really depends on which position you're willing to take a chance on.

If you are competing within the next 2 years i´d stick with Seguin and Schultz, they will give you more points in that span, if you are in a a rebuild situation it´s a bit different.

I think Tarasenko and Seguin are going to be close in production in 3 years but Letang will outscore Schultz every single season. Schultz is good, but Letang is top 3 and he will stay there for some years.

Letang and Tarasenko are both coming with an injury risk, you should keep that in mind.

I'd be more inclined to stick with Seguin and Schultz, both have been healthy and have huge upside. Despite the fact that Letang is already a stud he does spend time on IR and as stated Tarasenko has had concussion issues. Add to that the depth on the Blues will have a Seguin like affect, when he was with Boston, on Tarasenko. Much like Letang, Schultz is surrounded be scoring studs.

Edit: You noted positions matter, but also said you start 12 forwards. If positions truly matter, centers are easier to come by and Benn might be a center only if it's true that Yahoo will be cutting back on dual positions this year. Given the fact you keep 10 (would like to know who you plan on keeping) I think Benn is more expendable to get an upgrade at Def.

Seguin kind of worries me. The fact that the Bruins gave up on him must mean something. They know more about him than we could ever pretend to. Letang could put up 70-80 if he and PP1 stay healthy. Tarasenko and Letang get my vote.

Not the easiest of calls but in the end I'd stick with Letang/Tarasenko. To me the only thing preventing it from being an easier Letang/Tarasenko choice is Letang's spotty injury history, although I don't think we know anything about Schultz yet in that regard as he's only had one season. I love Schultz but not sure he'll ever be the very high end point producer that Letang already is, and his plus/minus could remain spotty over the next few years (was -17 over 48 games last year, while Letang is pretty much always very solid in that category). BTW there's only a three year difference in age between the two, many probably think Schultz is much younger but not the case.

I'd want Letang and Tarasenko but it's fairly close for me. They should both have a better +- at least shorterm if not both short term and long term. Letang should always outscore Schultz so I'd take the chance on him and Tarasenko. If the same deal was with Benn then it gets a lot tougher for me but I'd still probably want the Letang side.

    give me tarasenko and letang.

letang is a league top 5 d-man on a smoking hot PITT team, tarasenko may have had concussion issues, but so did crosby (not that these two are anything alike..just sayin its not a reason to write him off).
