So I was wondering what some may feel about the Blues goaltending situation. Is Elliott going to be the starter going into the season? Is it going to be 1A/1B. Will Halak likely get moved?
Just posing a bunch of questions, but interested in hearing some opinions.

As long as Halak is there, I expect he will start with Elliott serving as his backup. I thought he'd be moved by now but I foresee him staying there until some point in the season when someone needs help.

I know the isles signed nabokov but they could use halak.
The question really is: which team is realistically after a starting goalie? Most teams seem to be set - and if one team feels it needs another starter, Hiller or Miller may get that job just as likely....

Halak will start. Elliot is the backup. Allen in the AHL.
if the blues start next season with halak, elliott and allen then we all know how the season will play out.
halak and elliott will split starts.
allen will be in the ahl.
how can anyone say that halak will be the starter when he has had 2 years to take the role and he hasn't been able to do it yet. if i was a betting man, i would say that elliott starts more games for the blues next year.
halak will get hurt.
they both will be very, very good most nights and horrible on the other nights.
The Blues have an excellent line-up. I think they tandem the 2 while shopping Halak, unless his attitude and play is better.
His value will increase and he can be moved to a team that needs to fill an injury or a hole in net. At that point his salary will be low and the blues may have a hole in their lineup.
If the year goes well and the two goalies find a way to cope, I like the blues to come out of the west. LA was the worst match-up for them but they made it close. The could have really made a run and I think match up well with CHI.
These goalies should appreciate the opportunity this team has.
Sabres and Blues swap goalies.
Possibility?

Only Blues goalie I'd want to own today is Allen. Elliot has had his run, but he's a stop-gap guy at best. Halak has consistently played underwhelming hockey since he got here. Not bad, mind you. But for what the Blues defensive system does, Halal should be a better goalie than he is. Elliot is that guy, sometimes. But he gives up a good number of soft goals too, and that Blue liner against LA marked the beginning of the end of him as a starter in St. Louis. Halak needs to get moved, whether it's before the start of the season or before the deadline I don't really care. Allen has played well in his time up, and is the future of the Blues in net. Halak puts up very solid numbers, but he's gonna go sometime. If he goes to a bad situation, his stock takes a gigantic hit. Elliot puts up great numbers, but he's not a consistent starter. Allen is the guy to own.

I'm not touching STL goalies in any drafts this year.
I have no idea what will happen with that group.
I'd say that grabbing Elliott, if he's there in the late rounds, is the only move I'll probably consider.
