Default How many zero's in Bickell's next paycheck?

Everytime he scores he adds a zero to his asking price. Seriously, if we don't resign him I'll be pissed. He's been such an asset and is one of the few physical guys we have.

I know none of you are Bowman, but what's the minimum asking price to keep him?

BICKELL IS PRIORITY #! IN MY MIND.

Yeah my guess was 4.5-5 per for about 5 years.
He'll be bought out 2 years into that contract though haha.
Shooting 18% and getting 15min a game in these playoffs.
He won't put up numbers at nearly the same rate for the next reg season.

4 years, 16 million. Not a good signing but someone will pay for him.

I can see someone signing him for $4 mil, but I think it will look more like $20 mil for 5 years.

Montreal, Florida or New Jersey could be some good destinations for him come July 1st.

He's a good player but I don't want my team acquiring Bickell right now. It's a massive overpayment.

Agreed, I hope the Habs stay away from him. This "bigger is better" argument is hockey is terribly uninformed. Chicago was the 2nd smallest team in the NHL. Skill wins in the long run.

I like Bickell as a player though. Good player, but definitely the wrong time.

The problem with him is the small-ish sample size - he has been a good NHL player for a few years now, though. I think $4 per year for 4 or 5 years is the likely outcome, though.

ROR is the real deal. If he puts up 50-60pts and contributes significantly on the PK and plays against they other teams top lines then he's worth his $5MM cap hit. Bickell will accomplish neither of those things....

The problem is the qualifying offer is the salary of the final year, so 6.5 million, which he can sign and guarantee an additional year at that price.
