Nikki probably the best producer if/when Wiz gets hurt. But clearly behind JJ and Wiz

Blum could be shipped or not resigned as an RFA, which makes him interesting. Still not a bust yet IMO and highest upside.

MacDonald could see a significant spike in PP time with Streit gone

I'd go with Nikitin myself. I got no faith in Blum and Macdonald is beast for blocked shots but not in this pts only format.

I'd take Nikitin - he had a down year filled with injuries, but he's still solid.

Blum isn't going to score much as long as he's in NAS and MacDonald probably won't get much PP time. I expect Donovan to take Streit's PP time for the most part.

I agree. It looks like he is the odd man out, especially after their recent signing. I would be rolling the dice that he gets moved ala John Moore and finds some time on the PP. Maybe a bit of a reach though, so Nikki may be the safest choice.

I can see why people would choose Nikitin. However, I'd take Blum because there is a dramatic gap between him and the others with upside. With Brennan being shipped from Fla to Nsh, I think there's a chance Blum is moved. After seeing Brennan moved there, I thought they had a bit of a log jam with defencemen and did some searching on the net about the situation:

And as far as McDnald goes, he is serviceable. I remember him getting PP a couple of seasons ago when others were down, and him doing well. To me, he's a stop gap. I'm not so sure he's a guaranteed lock for more PP. Reinhardt may make the jump. There's even a remote chance that Hickey or Ness could even get some run. I doubt they will before McDonald, just saying it's not necessarily wide open for him. And with all these so so options being the case, you may as well swing for the stars and go Blum.

Rolled the dice on Blum. Very likely moved at the draft so why not.

EDIT: Poile confirmed that they are moving on from Blum. At least he is not going to be playing for the Preds - about all I can hope for
