I like Hughson a lot, even though it seems from what I hear that a lot of people don't.
Do not care for Hughson but think Emrick really was better about 10 years ago. He's not updated his commentary as much as the game has evolved. Hughson has better hockey knowledge but his voice just annoys the hell out of me.

For some reason, every time I hear Emerick it always reminds me of the old FoxTrax hockey puck. I dont know why but I always feel like I he is always trying to explain the game to me as I watch it. It drives me nuts. He has a great voice for calling the game but his delivery just doesnt do it for me.
I am not as big a fan for Hughsons actual voice but his game calling is stronger.
I would rather enjoy the game calling then listen to a strong voice. Hughson for me.

Hughson is excellent. Possibly the best part of CBC - mind you not that there's much to choose from.
Emrick is absolutely awesome. I think he does a killer job.
