Unless your pool in Goal weighted I would go with Seguin. I'm Eberle's biggest fan around here but Seguin will out score him in the future.
Yahoo Dynasty pool with the usual categories.
I have been offered Tyler Seguin for Jordan Eberle.
Both have similar salaries....so that's not really a problem.
Looking for some input before I make any decisions.
Thanks

Noun
(slang, idiomatic) 1. A person who habitually corrects or criticizes the language usage of others, especially in situations where it is unnecessary, e.g. an informal conversation.
Notes: This behavior is almost always found in people with very low I.Q's, whom have a very low sense of self worth. Impotence is also commonly linked to Grammar Nazi's.
Both are great young talents but I go with Eberle - hard to pass up a piece of that future Oil machine. There's a good chance the Bs let Horton walk this summer and I don't see them being a huge scoring team. The Oilers on the other hand have potential to put up insane stats. Since the talent is on par here, this comes down to team and situation to me - Oilers, hence Eberle.

I'd rather have Seguin at this point. His trajectory has been going steadily up since before he was even drafted, whereas Eberle has had his peaks and valleys. The thing that clinches it for me is that Boston is going to be a very solid team for the foreseeable future. The Oilers are poised to be amazing, but they haven't put it together. With all these guys on expiring ELCs at the same time it could all fall apart if they can't re-sign them.

I'd go with Seguin.
Jagr may not re-sign with Boston.
That puts Seguin back on the Bergeron line.
Remember - we are thinking "regular season" for fantasy hockey.
Seguin is definitely going to beat Eberle in:
*SOG
*+/-
(PIM is low for both).
So Eberle is going to have to beat Seguin in G,A,PPP significantly to make the two even in fantasy value.
Two category locks for Seguin vs. Zero category locks for Eberle.
Seguin.
This is a great summary of the deal for you..
Additionally, I think somebody is getting a little skiddish with Seguin's playoff performance and looking to make a move.. I wouldn't be worried though!
In terms of the Oilers offensive prowess, I found myself thinking they would be an offensive dynamo this year, and same old story.

I'm going to go with Eberle here. Eberle should be a consistant 70-75 point guy as for Seguin.. I just don't know.
Seguin is a player I try to avoid at all costs. Not because he isn't a great a player - he is just a player who I think has a very inflated value (in fantasy hockey). Not long ago there was a similiar thread on Seguin but instead of Seguin vs. Eberle it was Seguin vs. Hall. I will make the same arguement I made there as I will here.
Seguin at the very least is equal to Eberle in terms of what the two contribute to their NHL teams. It's a matter of which player contributes more to your fantasy team though.
Boston
has been - and will remain a defensively oriented team.
has great depth
has a great goaltender
Edmonton
has been - and will remain an offensively oriented team.
has little scoring depth
doesn't have great goaltending
I really feel like its as simple as looking at which team they are on. Edmonton depends on Eberle to score in order to win. Boston doesn't depend on Seguin to score in order to win.
And this is why I tend to avoid Seguin - his name and draft position hold a lot more value than his actual fantasy performances. I see a lot of fantasy poolies holding onto guys like Seguin (Bobby Ryan) waiting for the break out that might not ever happen.

it's a fairly even trade, and it seems there is good replies and points for both, but I'd go with Seguin personally.

Wow, I'm pretty shocked at the Seguin love here. The kid is a very good player but I don't have faith in the Bs being an offensive powerhouse - am I missing something? Has Seguin ever outscored Eberle?
