Huge overpayment
Especially based on value. Moulson is a perennial 30-goal guy, Etem has had what, a decent playoff? You got catfished on Moulson not playing with Tavares in the playoffs.
Absolutely terrible deal. Sorry, but that's a reach for an unproven prospect.

Bad deal in my opinion. You will be damn lucky if Etem becomes the player that Moulson is now.
I have Etem myself and would love it if he would compare to what Moulson has and will continue to do, but I don't expect him to reach that point for at least another two, probably three years.

Please tell me you got something else in that deal as well, like 2 solid draft picks or ... a lap dance .. anything ???
If not, you lose for the next 2 years, break even for 2 more and only then hope that Etem panned out as you expected.
Bottom line, learn from this and don't do it again

Yeah I don't even know if Etem will be owned/rostered in either of my leagues for the next couple years. Rough go.

Have to go with Moulson. Proven vs Potential, and I'm not sure the Potential is all that high either.

Depending on the draft pick, but I'd pass on that deal thanks
I disagree
The reason I disagree is that one would never get full value for a player of Moulson's caliber for two, maybe three, reasons.
1. He plays for the Islanders, producing member of an up and coming team. Nevertheless, his value decreases slightly.
2. He was drafted 9th overall, many GM's have that as their main focus.
3. His age, he is 30 years old but has only played 6 seasons and 322 games in the NHL.
If you have him, keep him and reap the reward for the next 3 seasons. Moulson is an excellent complimentary piece to any fantasy team.
If you don't have him, don't try to trade for him because you won't be willing to pay the asking price.
Moulson's value is in his ability to play a good and healthy game. Prior to this season he had 3 full 82 regular season games played.
People peak at different times in their career, have you been previously overlooked, and have succeed elsewhere at a later date?

this is actually part of the reason to sell moulsen... he avoids contact and any kind of physical play at all costs - and it hurts his team... with young guys like nino and nelson on the horizon, who can actually put in effort for pucks and play a physical game along the boards, moulsen will become replaceable in the top six. he already lost his spot on the top line - and he won't be getting it back. bailey can score 25 goals with tavares, maybe more and he can compliment his game in so many ways that moulsen can't. moulsen dropped below a 30 goal pace this season, and playing with nielsen as opposed to tavares isn't going to help him get back to that level. i bet he scores 25 goals max. next year, with fewer assists too... he will probably keep a spot in the top six until nino and strome are ready, and he is fantastic in the PP, but the best move for the islanders would be to move him to some stat watching gm before his contract runs out next year.
