I'd go with Pouliot, as he has another year of development under his belt, and of course, the Penguins are a fantastic future org for any young d-man.
My team and league scoring is in my signature, I have the 3rd and 6th pick
assuming Jones is gone with the 3rd I'm picking whoever is left between
Drouin and Mackinnon, with the 6th pick I'm leaning toward a dee man
Derrick Pouliot is still available from last year, my choices would be
Pouliot-- Nurse-- Ristolainen
your thoughts as the better fantasy player
Kucherov , Pastrnak , Guentzel Miller, Rantanen
Teravainen , Cirelli, Nelson , Konecny
Ekblad, Girard, Pionk, Parayko , Graves
Vasilevskiy, Hellebuyck , Korpisalo

In keeper leagues, id say fantasy value : mackinnon or drouin is worth a lot more then jones. So with the 3rd overall pick. You may get jones. Itll be a bit of a wait for him to start being fantasy worthy. With the 6th. Target barkov/lindholm/ monahan. I like domi/shinkaruk who i personally would take 7-8.
I;m with Shevyx on this one. I would guess Mack and Drouin go as the first two so you would get Jones with the #3.
If you are right though and you get Mackinnon or Drouin at 3 and still want a D at 6 then it would be Pouliot IMO. Good offensive upside on a team that oozes offense has potential to turn into GOLD.
13 team Roto keeper league 12 F, 6D, 2G, G,A,+/-, PIMS, Hits, TOI(D), GAA, SV%, (Forwards are forwards, no distinction between L,R,C)
F) Ovechkin, Stamkos, Kunitz, Parise, Byfuglien, Backstrom, Little, Gaudreau, Hudler, Brassard, Girgensons, Nelson
D) S. Weber, Phaneuf, Subban, Carlson, Josi, Vatanen
G) Rask, Jones
IŽd bet good money on it that the first 2 picks in almost all fantasy drafts will be drouin and mack, so yes, with your 3rd pick jones should be available. that said, i would not take him 3rd overall. With that pick you should consider to pick Barkov. 6th overall if you want D, pick one of Nurse or Ristolainen assuming Jones is gone by then, but iŽd think about picking nichushkin or lindholm instead since both will be amazing players.

I would choose Ristolianen out of those 3.

(slang, idiomatic) 1. A person who habitually corrects or criticizes the language usage of others, especially in situations where it is unnecessary, e.g. an informal conversation.
Notes: This behavior is almost always found in people with very low I.Q's, whom have a very low sense of self worth. Impotence is also commonly linked to Grammar Nazi's.
I would pick Jones with the 3rd if he is still available, otherwise i would pick McKinnon or Drouin and pick another forward at 6th. There are so many great forwards amongst the top 10 picks, i would rather have one of them and trade for a d if you really need one.
My rankings would be:
Drouin
MacKinnon
Jones
Barkov
Nichushkin
Monahan
Lindholm

Bob, I agree with the consensus here: Seth Jones may be there for the taking at 3 - if so, snag him there and at 6 take one of:
Barkov
Lindholm
Nichushkin
That said, if Jones goes 1/2 and you end up with Drouin or MacKinnon and still are hard-pressed for a D at 6, I'd actually go with Ryan Pulock (I think he will end up the 2nd best offensive D-Man in the draft behind S.Jones).
However, you may be better off managing your assets by double-dipping with forwards at 3/6 and adding a D-Man via trade. If you could exit the draft stage with Drouin/MacKinnon and, say Lindholm, in your stable it would be a huge win for you.

D-Men/Captain: G=3/A=2

Start = 13F, 6D, 2G / Keep 44 (3G)

(G): Shesterkin, Demko, Vejmelka
My ranking:
Drouin
MacKinnon
Barkov
Jones
Lindholm
Nichushkin
Monahan
Shinkaruk
Domi
So I would go with 2 forwards without a doubt except if Jones is available at 6.
If Pouliot is still available from last year you will probably be able to grab a young D with your next pick (Nurse, Ristolainen, Pouliot, Pulock, Morrissey)

There's not a chance I take a dman at 3 or 6. That's my philosophy though. Too volatile.

As soon as Jones is off the boards you simply can not justify taking a d-man at 6. If you're really after d then trade down but you'd be reaching for any d-man you take there. Lots of good advice above.
Drouin
Mackinnon
Barkov
Maybe Jones if you really want d
Lindholm
Nichushkin
