(That was my rink growing up... so I'll take any opportunity to jump in an Ekblad thread just to say that. We also take credit for Tie Domi. LOL, just reading now that the MPP in Belle River is a kid I played hockey with growing up.Ha! He was a Tkachuk/Roenick/Perry enforcer/scorer type. Tough guy, seriously. People didn't eff with him. Now he's a politician!? LOL.)
At 17 I was able to grow a pretty good beard. Not this good but close enough. Ekblad is on some mean juice...

I can grow a 5 o'clock shadow in 15 mins and a nice 3/4 cm long beard, but my hair gets lazy and stops growing after that... A couple of years ago, our hockey team made it to the playoffs (like a round robin, then a best of 5) that lasted about a month. I had a beard from day 1 when none of the guys had any facial hair. A month later, it kinda looked the same while others had bush faces and some had Crosby's pathetic excuse for facial hair (also known as the shitstash).
