Finally!!! A freaking point for Toews!
16 Team H2H League (Keep 6)
3C - 3LW - 3RW - 6D - 2G
2013 1st place, 2014 1st place, 2015 1st place
G, A, +/-, PIM, SOG, HIT, BLK GS, W, GAA, SV%, SO
C= Stall, Marchessault, Hayes, Suzuki
LW= Svechnikov, Goodrow, DeBrusk,
RW= P.Kane, Kucherov, Fiala, Johnson
D= Rielly, Borowieki, Fowler, Hagg, Murphy
G= Demko, Samsonov, Jarry, Allen, Shesterkin, Talbot
There were 11 of us feeling the Toews pain.
Standings updated, not much in the way of big changes. I had the biggest jump going from a tie for 12th to a tie for 6th.
Minny finishes with only the single point contribution from Parise.
Subban was the best Montreal pick finishing with 4 points. Gallagher had 2, Markov had 1 and no points for Patches.
Let's see what tonight brings,
Assuming ANA wins their series... my chances hinge on that SJ vs. CHI series.
If SJ wins, my goalie (Niemi) is still alive and several teams with Crosby + CHI goalies will have lost their goalies.
Big 2nd round series for me.
I'm pretty happy with how the first round has gone.
Other than Karlsson, all my shitty defense will be eliminated.
The Metaldude 26ers still hanging around the top. Not sure they've got enough juice but I like what I see so far.
And my son is beating me yet again!
And like you Pengwin, my hopes rely on Niemi and the Sharts

Updated with the weekend games in. So moves are taken into account since Thursday's games.
Biggest jump of the weekend goes to dodospice who climbed from 12th to 4th.
Biggest fall of the weekend goes to markyj who tumbles from 16th all the way to last place.
Funny that San Jose only played 4 games and still have produced more points for this pool than any other team with 33. The Penguins produced 32 and the Ducks are a distant 3rd with 21.
The Capitals and Rangers have only produced 9-points each for this pool.
Updated with the two Game 7s from last night.
Toronto's Franson and Kessel each finish with 6 points. Washington's 3 reps only produced 9 points between them.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
That was a big night for my players last night... if I want to catch hockeyprophet.
His Kessel (TOR) goes down. Better than me losing Phaneuf (TOR).
His Chara (BOS) still alive... but I've got a forward - Bergeron (BOS).
His Ovechkin (WAS) goes down. Better than me losing Green (WAS).
We both have Rick Nash (NYR).
Now... I need DET to take out CHI - to kill some team's goalies.
And... SJ victory over LA would be incredible.
(So... you're telling me there's a chance...)
I'm actually really happy with first round (despite being in 8th).
I slotted 5 of my 6 defense (Subban, Green, Phaneuf, Streit, Edler) to be eliminated... and they were.
Karlsson survived - which as we know - is nothing but a wash with every other team.
It would be sweet if you could list who the TOP picks were for all the teams that got eliminated now that first round is over.
So far I would say my best pick has been Streit, and my worst has been Nash.
The Nash pick stings.... I really debated taking King Henrik as my goalie since I felt the Rangers were going to the final four (the east semis have unfolded exactly as I predicted) and knew they weren't going to be a high-scoring team, but I didn't imagine Nash would be this terrible offensively. In retrospect I wish I had taken King Henrik/Bergeron instead of Nash/Rask since I have the Rangers/Pens in the conference finals.
Just did a quick comparison. In order for me to have any chance of catching Hockeyprophet, the following would have to happen:
Malkin/Rask/Toews outscore Crosby/Chara/Emery by 8+ points...
Assuming Malkin/Toews and Crosby/Emery are a wash (probably too optimistic).... Rask would have to yield a significant gain over Chara, which would take more than one series. Since I already have the Rangers pegged to beat Boston, I think I can confidently admit that I have no hope of winning this thing.
Well played Hockeyprophet... we played.
