Boston in 5, I don't even think it will be close, I think the Bruins are far better than their seed would suggest

seed has nothing to do with causing this to be a lopsided matchup. leafs could have been 1st and bruins 8th and they would still hand it to them.

Boston in 5? i would be more than happy with that result. anything but a sweep right now based off their game 1 play would be a miracle lol

looks like kostka is out indefinitely, please please please call up gardiner. at least give the kid some playoff experience

I wouldn't put too much into the first game or the Isles first game. I remember the Sens looked pretty bad last year in Game 1 against New York, due to so many players playing in their first ever playoff game. The Leafs and Isles needed that experience and a little "wake me up" to get going next game. I think the Leafs have a solid chance of winning tomorrow night.

That first game was absolutely horrible.

The good part is that it is easily fixable. I think every single team in the NHL would have beat the Leafs yesterday.

And I hope so Ev. But they don't play till Saturday (if thats what you meant)

Thanks be to Zeus! Kostka was atrocious last night, he was minus 3 and he was on for the PP goal against (no other Dman was worse than minus 1). Also I understand Carlyle trying to match lines but only playing Kessel 13 mins last night is ridiculous. I don't care how poorly he does against the Bruins if the leafs are to have any chance he has to play well and produce, 13 mins isn't even really giving him a chance.

Hamilton or Johnson will be in the lineup in place of Ference.

I really hope they give Dougie a shot.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

I'm making the prediction right now... Leafs will bounce back strong and take it tonight.

I agree they'll bounce back but that's hardly a stretch dude...how could they not after that terrible game 1? That's like saying 'I predict the officiating in this game is going to stink'

Personally I don't think the Leafs matchup well against the Bruins in the slightest and they'll be lucky to win a game in the series. I think aside from the Pens, the Bruins were the worst matchup they could have drawn in the 1st round

I said they'd bounce back... AND win. I think that's pretty bold considering it's saturday night in Boston

The Bruins ARE the worst matchup possible... I almost popped a blood vessel when the Sens won that last game of the regular season.

Habs vs. Leafs would've been the dream series for everybody.

Jesus christ what an abomination of hockey music. The organ player goes from Macklemore - Thrift shop to "let's go XX, let's go" in one go. Makes me want to cut myself. Well, at least I'm listening to Jim Hughson and not Jack "****** 5000" Edwards.

you make an excellent point, anytime someone picks the Leafs to win in the playoffs it has to be considered among the boldest of predictions

Indeed, and there would be a ton of trash talk on these boards too! But I'm actually happier that we're playing the Sens than the Leafs, I feel the Habs don't matchup as well against the Leafs style at the moment(though I think in a few years we're gonna see some epic battles)

How the **** does Phaneuf get the only penalty on that play and not Marchand!?!? Ridiculous.

edit: there we go... glad they realized their ****up and gave Marchand the retribution penalty
