Good to hear Ozark is good.
I read a few reviews and heard the episode length (1hr) makes some episodes really drag in the middle.
Gotta give it to Jason Bateman... he's really made a name for himself over last 10+ years.
I believe I heard that Ozark is his own project.

(Heard the third wasn't that good... and saw a ranking of top 13 episodes - with top five being in Seasons 1 & 2... so prob not gonna watch season 3).

Not really a show... but I just watched this food documentary (What the Health) on Netflix where I learned that chicken & eggs & cheese aren't good for people.

Don't believe it... season 3 is phenomenal.

A lot of the Season 1/2 vs 3 debate stems from Netflix taking over the show, but they did a phenomenal job.

There's one particular episode in Season 3 that I think stands out as the best episode across all three seasons - San Junipero. Just a masterpiece.

100% agree. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th episodes of Season 3 are in my top 5 fave Black Mirror episodes. I think I'm one of the few who actually liked episode 1 too. Crazy how real this show can become in the not-too-distant future...

Also, Ozarks is good. Slow - but in a good way.

American Gods is very interesting. Very different... I liked it a lot.

Seems like not much else is on right now while GoT dominates the headlines. Lots of good stuff coming in the fall... Can't stop selling Peaky Blinders (Season 4 starts up in Oct) -- catch up on it if you haven't seen it yet. Looking forward to Stranger Things (Season 2) and the return of Curb Your Enthusiasm as well. Gotta enjoy the sunshine while I can... love Autumn time television.

Season 2 is twice as good with the introduction of Tom Hardy (Jewish gangster boss) and Noah Taylor's (Italian gangster boss) characters.

They're moving things a little West and introducing American gangsters in Season 4.

I watched the first season of Peaky Blinders and enjoyed it, I just never circled back to it.

That's how I felt about Mr.Robot.
What a dynamic 1st season... but then I felt like I wasn't really interested in it going forward.
Orphan Black was same, great 1st season... then I didn't go back...

Thanks blayze & VV for insight into Season 3 of Black Mirror.
It could just be that the one article writer was, maybe, a UK-homer and didn't want to give any props to the change of developer.

I've been impressed with Preacher, tough source material to adapt on basic cable. What little I know of the comics it would be a tough job even on HBO or Showtime where the rules are much more lax. But yeah, it's so over-the-top, blasphemous, bloody, and downright kooky it hooks you in.

Shameless was recently added to Netflix. My wife and I have enjoyed the first 3 episodes. It's easy watch with several unique story lines in each episode.

I have also watched the first season and a half of Bosch on Amazon. It's an LA detective series that is definitely worth watching if you enjoy that type of genre.

Where do I find American Gods? I don't have cable - is it on Hulu or Netflix?

Another vote for Peaky Blinders - crazy good.

If you like British crime dramas (like The Fall), I recommend Luther, Shetland, Broadchurch, and River. These are all fantastic crime shows - all binge-worthy.
