I need a new show...

Daydream Nation's list is just about bang on for me. I never got into 24 though. I think I was watching Fringe instead and or Dexter instead. Neither Fringe nor Dexter would make my list. This is how I thought Dexter should have ended.

Dexter and Deb..... eventually get it on and begin killing together and Dexter completely abandons "The Code". The last season should have been, them on the road, evading the police, going on a killing spree. The final scene should have been them being cornered and going down in a hurricane of bullets. Last shot is a wide shot, eventually closing in on Dexter's body, moving to his head, then to the blood flowing onto the sidewalk aaaaaaannnnnnnddddd scene. fade to black, credits...

Currently enjoying Amazon Prime's "Bosch". It is based on the Harry Bosch book series written by Michael Connelly; an absolutely GREAT series about a hard boiled LAPD detective. It is on Crave TV here in Canada. It stars Titus Welliver as Bosch. He played a crazy Irish gangster in Sons of Anarchy, and I wasn't sure if he fit what I imagined Bosch being, but he is great. Just the right amount of sarcasm, anger and toughness. The 10 episode first season combines a couple of Harry's cases. It is well written, and features some real cool character development of some of Connelly's minor characters like Detective Jerry Edgar and Deputy Chief Irving. It isn't the most action packed series, but it is a great police procedural as Bosch hunts for a notorious serial killer which he inadvertently allowed to escape. I highly recommend it.

I was so glad I dumped that show before the final season.

The last couple seasons were good, but the ending was a bad decision in my opinion.

I stepped away but have yet to step back. i wont post any spoilers but almost everyone i know- and whose opinion I value on this stuff- said the ending is painfully awful. like throwing your remote at the TV bad. i havent seen it- just trying to rain on your parade like they did on mine. Such a fantastic show though. i think i lost steam when whats her name started to be his *apprentice*- I didnt like her or the storyline...

Yes, that season,with Julia styles, was horrible. Worst by far. I just finished the series finale literally five minutes ago. I think it helped that I heard it was terrible from so many people, but it was genius. Not very often a show finishes in a good way as it's ridiculously difficult to please that many people, but this was so well done, imo. I'm really surprised people didn't like. Perfect ending.

I burned through both seasons of The Fall recently. What a great show! Loved it. Hopefully a third season will be in the works.

I watched the first episode of Luther. Pretty good, and it was awesome to see that Stringer Bell from The Wire is the lead actor! That alone is enough for me to give the show a shot.

Hopefully my "short wait" on Game of Thrones Season 4 (Netflix disc) expires and I get disc 1 for the weekend.
Worst case... House of Cards: Season 3 on Friday!!!

That's a pretty sweet "worse case" if you ask me... I've been looking forward to House of Cards Season 3 all week! Definitely going to binge it over the weekend.

If you people aren't watching Homeland, Ray Donovan, Banshee and Blacklist (at the very least) you are missing out big-time. Homeland is like Soprano's status for me... and Ray Donovan is rockstar quality.

Homeland is good.
The 2nd/3rd seasons can be a little slow at times.
But the 3rd season ends big... and I've heard good things about the 4th.

Hate to say it, but wife & I dropped Blacklist after 6 episodes.
Same cookie cutter stuff for too long through season 1... and the who-dad-tease and who-husband-tease stuff got on my nerves... so we said buh-bye.
Little surprised you have that rated so high.

Ray Donovan is on my maybe list... but I still have GoT, HoC, and Vikings before I consider that one.
After I get through those shows, NHL playoffs may be over and I'm gonna try to sink into the Wire (based on everybody's praise).
