    Default Brian Freakin; Elliott

How good has this guy been?!?!

-Won 7 of the last 8
    -3 shutouts
-.950+ save % in all but 2 games

I was really hesitant to drop Rinne (back when he was streaking) for him, but it's been the move of the year in my pool so far. He's single handedly won my last 2 weekly H2H playoff matches. What a steal if you were able to pluck him off the wire in H2H playoff formats!

Your Goalies look outstanding and very familliar. Great minds think alike. I picked up Elliot after his first shut out in Detroit. The Elliot/Hitchcock combination is going to win me the pool this year!!!

Just in time for the playoffs for St. Louis. Im sure they'd love a first round matchup with LA or Vancouver.....

He narrowly missed a shutout last night too. I think he gave up the tying goal with just over a minute left.

Elliott is such an infuriating own though. In his eight starts before April he had a save percentage higher than .900 once lol.

It's like on April 1 he was like HA April Fools! I actually don't suck!

I guess like in most cases timing is everything.

    That's exactly it.

I think in H2H playoff formats, generally you maintain a consistent core throughout the season to carry you, but in the playoffs sometimes the best move is to drop some of those core players you've been relying on all year and gamble with the hot hand (guys like Elliott, Chiasson, etc) or stacked schedule.

Psychologically it is difficult to pull the trigger on a player you've been riding all season but championships favour the bold!

I agree. I ended up dropping Neal for him figuring Neal wouldn't play more than a game or two the rest of the year. Elliot won me my goalie cats last week and is doing so again this week.

This has also been a huge pick up for me...especially this week when Rask hasn't played at all.
