I would. He will be out the majority of the season. Thing is, Pitt needs him for the playoffs, not the regular season.
One year league that counts g,a, ppp, w (2), SHO (5). Roto total pts.
I'm in first place by 62 pts, with only 1 FA add-drop left.
Roster
6F - Crosby, MSL, Getzlaf, Voracek, Datsyuk, Thornton, Backstrom
3D - Phaneuf, Markov, Edler
2G - Niemi, Lehtonen
Crosby was my leading guy (76pts) then MSL and Voracek (58 and 51). Most notable FA are Kadri (47), Moulson (49), Parenteau (46), Semin (41).
Had been saving my last move for injury, time to drop Sid for one of the guys? Or wait to see how long he's out?

If Crosby does come back it will only be at the end of the fantasy playoffs and who knows how or how much he'll play. In your case, because your FA options are fantastic, I would drop Crosby. The points you'll get from these guys while Crosby is out will no doubt be more than what you will get from Crosby if you hold on to him and he actually comes back, plus there is the very real risk that he is not coming back. I would drop him for Kadri, that kid is on fire and so are the Leafs.

Who would have thought this question would EVER be asked at the start of the season.
But I agree...Sounds like Crosby is weeks out at best. Most I've read is that they're optimistic to have him back for the playoffs...which is useless for you. Kadri is one of the hotest out there right now. Astute move!
Haha, close but I'd have replaced Lehtonen in a two teamer... its a 7 team league with some other Orthopods I trained with ... Normally it's an in person draft with all the residents where some guys in a bar just print off tsn's list, points only, no moves (which kills me after I am first place in December and get my crippling injuries).
Cuz a bunch of us graduated and are all in different cities now, I managed to make an online yahoo draft with "4" moves, allow trades (not one yet, even for me!), added ppp as a stat, and drafted goalies for once (yes very basic league). My team was autodrafted for me too and lucked into Crosby.
Closest team hasn't used any moves yet (Bryzgalov and Josi on his roster all season but he might get insider info working with Canucks team docs), 3rd place team is in New Zealand and hasn't watched any games, another guy is in Winnipeg and did their team physicals, and one guy is in houston (looks after Texans and Rockets). They are all doing sports fellowships.
Funny the one guy who is actually serious (normally organizes the draft and won last year) and had a strategy (drafted Lundqvist/Quick early to secure goalies) is 99 pts behind.
Technically, I'm in 4 NHL leagues including this one, but I don't even list this league in my signature cuz not much to do on daily basis.
