I dont know the situation as much either but maybe its rest for playoffs?
I don't really follow the bruins that much. Are they doing trade bait exhibition or is this an actual battle with Rask for playing time?

The Bruins have a heavy/more condensed back end schedule, so Khudo getting more starts lately is expected. However, I have no idea why he was started today. Whatever the rationale it backfired pretty badly.
The reason I don't think it's that are because:
1) the playoffs are some time away.
2) Rask is a young goalie in very decent condition, I don't imagine he'll need much rest.
3) Bruins were looking for a veteran forward to add to the lineup come playoff time, and Khudobin might just be the piece to move.

After playing such a light schedule early on Boston has had one of the denser schedules and will continue to for the rest of the season though they have mostly caught up with the rest of the league. Definitely about keeping Rask fresh for the playoffs.
Khudobin's apparently been getting more starts recently, and specifically the start today, because Julien's trying to teach Rask some lesson. This is what apparently all the Bruins insiders have been pumping out, anyhow, as the Bruins fans at my work stated.
Regardless, it's not shocking to see him getting some starts, as he's a very solid goalie and Rask is creeping up on 40 starts combined this season.

What lesson? That if you play well and you're in the top 3 in the league in GAA/SV/WINS you'll get benched? Great lesson...
They want Rask to be more vocal about his political views.

The reporters just have nothing else to write about. Controversy sells papers.
Julien said last month that Khudobin will be getting a lot of work down the stretch.

Condensed schedule.
Lock to be in the playoffs.
Solid bet to be in the top 3.
What more explanation is necessary lol. Rask knows he's still the guy. If anything it should make him feel better that the team is trying to put him in the best situation to succeed in the bigger picture.
