Hell, even without the short time horizon I'd take MSL over Z straight up in a full keeper.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I pulled the trigger on a deal today where I got St. Louis and a second rounder in 2014 for Zetterberg and a first rounder in 2014. I'm hoping the first rounder will be a late one if I continue to do well (I'm in first this year, St. Louis gives me an extra bit of a lead too), and I am always confident I can get more first rounders in deals within the next 18 months or so.
So I just wanted to make sure that my gut was right and St. Louis was the better choice. So I figured I upgraded my keeper at a smaller downgrade in picks.
