Remember not to take one of the physically gifted stay at home defensemen that NHL teams love and will always take in the TOP TEN. They are pretty much USELESS in fantasy leagues and some owners get sucked in by their high NHL draft position. Mike Rathje, Nolan Baumgartner, Scott Lachance, and Vitali Vishnevski were ALL TOP TEN picks remember.
After Stamkos, the ONLY Defensemen I would spend a top pick on are:

Drew Doughty
Zach Bogosian
Michael Del Zotto
Any First or Second round Forward or Goalie draft pick is better than the rest of the DMen out there.

If your going D for 2nd overall pick it will have to be Doughty if he is picked by the Kings. Its almost certain that he will go to the kings as there were even rumours that the kings would take him with the 1st overall pick. The kings are going to be an elite team very soon with all their talent and Doughty will join Visnovsky and JJ as the trio to lead LA offensively.
You can\'t go wrong with the other 3 D, but Doughty is the best of the 4 and will get drafted into the best situation.

I don\'t know if you are underating him, or if what I\'ve read was overrating him, but Zach Bogosian has been my favorite D-man (with Del Zotto, but he will last to the 10th pick IMO) for a long time, and I\'ve read many times people ranking him ahead of doughty...

I\'d go Filatov. if he were over here playing the hype would be much bigger his skill is elite
