Default Farm keeper: Granlund or Coyle?

I am in a 12 team keeper league (cats below). We have to declare 4 farm keepers in the next two weeks. Naturally, I have 5 guys for 4 slots. I am choosing between: Markstrom, Lehner, RNH, Granlund and Coyle.

Goalies are like gold in this pool. I have decided to keep Markstrom, Lehner and RNH.

So, do I choose Coyle or Granlund as my final farm keeper? I have Dobber's fantasy prospect report and Coyle and Granlund were rated very closely in terms of upside and liklihood of achieving the upside.

Does anyone have thoughts to share on which of granlund or coyle I should keep (assuming you are not in my pool!!!)?

Coyle had some DOMINANT shifts last night and made me a believer! Flip Granlund for a pick or something?

I am kinda thinking the same thing, but do not want to read too much into one game.

I personally would go with the guy who has a higher upside here, in other words Granlund.

Coyle is going to be very good, but Granlund could become a superstar, no question I'd keep Granlund.

I would want Granlund as well, simple reason being that he has a higher ceiling.

He's in a roto-league with PIMs etc. I think a big guy like Coyle will be a monster in leagues like this.

If it's the league in his sig, the categories are:

Goals , Assists , Points, Plus/Minus, Penalty Minutes, Powerplay Goals, Powerplay Assists, Shots on Goal

So PIMs are hte only exception, and in fact for the rest of it I'd say Granlund gets EVEN MORE value with the double PPPs, the SOG (Coyle doesn't seem like he will be a high SOG guy), etc.

    Granlund has 23 shots in 19 matches....4 PIM's, 0 PPP.

My main reasoning for not going with Granlund is that I just dont see this crazy upside you all talk about. I think they will both be 65-75 point players but with Coyle you'll get the PIMs as well.

You're using his rookie year stats when he's getting little ice time (and little PP time) and has been healthy scratched for several games. But that's fine, let's look at Coyle's:

    13GP, 14 SOG, 9 PIMS, 0 PPP

Now, since so many are questioning whether Granlund's stats overseas were inflated due to the big ice surface, such that he'll have trouble replicating that in the NHL, let's look at the small body of work of each player in the closest thing, the AHL:

    Coyle - 47GP, 25 pts, 70 SOG, 22PIMs
    Granlund - 21GP, 21 pts, 40SOG, 8PIMs

My point is, that there's no point in looking at their stats right now as any measure of what they will become. But based on what we've seen so far, in their pre-NHL performance, I think both will be solid impact players and Granlund will have a higher point and PPP ceiling, and probably also a higher SOG impact, which is why I'd take him with these scoring categories if I was forced to make a decision right now.

I wasnt trying to use the stats to show exactly what stats they will end up with, but you're making it seem like Granlund shoots alot. I'm saying that he really doesnt Granlund is your typical assist heavy playmaker.

I think they will have similar total point production, but Coyle will score more goals get more PIMs etc. Goals are harder to get than assists. Granlund also holds greater trade value, so he will be easier to sell for a pick or something.
