Theon's storyline is confusing. Was he not captured by his own people at the end of season two? They cracked him on the head when he was giving that speech. I don't get how another group could have got him. I'm sure it will be explained soon, but it is interesting to me, at least. There seems to be a new character from a new group that rescued him at the end of the last episode.

It's definitely supposed to be confused and you're supposed to wonder what exactly is going on. There should be more answers coming.....but the guy who saved him is the same one that was mopping the floors and relieved his pain as he was being tortured.

i also believe the guy who saved him at the end of the episode said his Theon's sister sent him to rescue him. so that answers the group who the archer is with. my best guess as to who was holding him was someone from the winterfell side of the war. likely holding him hostage/torturing in the mean time until he could be properly sentenced by the king of the north etc. I'm pretty sure the north side offered a reward for his capture alive. so it's likely he was cracked over the head by his own men who then ransacked winterfell/burned it and sent him to the them and Theon's men bailed home.

I'm finally caught up. Watched some on HBO GO last night. So yeah, they changed some things there. Nothing upsets me though, but I am curious about the whole Theon ordeal. I worry they'll do things too quickly with that and mess up the flow of the story.

And yes tg....md already gave me a warning so I just figured I'd be safe rather than sorry. I had a major event somewhat ruined for me and I'll now always remember that person for ruining my reading experience.

Episode 304 "And Now His Watch is Ended"

Wow what a great episode tonight! I don't even know where to begin. When I read the title of the episode today, I figured something major would occur involving the Watch.

First of all, I can't believe the Night's Watch has come to an end. I absolutely did not expect them to unravel as they did. Though, I don't blame them for how they responded to Crasster. However, I did not expect Commander Mormount to get murdered by that one fool. He was a great character. It definitely seems like there's no control over any of those people now. Samwell fled with the girl, it'll be interesting to see where he ends up and how others react to the news. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Snow finds out.

The Theon story still interests me. I guess he got played by that dude who said he was there to rescue him. I'm still interested in seeing how that angle plays out. I kinda feel bad for him. He admitted he made a mistake and said something along the lines of, "my real father got his head cut off in King's Landing".

Jamie looks depleted, but things are definitely starting to pick up there. Joffrey looks like he's turning a corner as he is being heavily influenced by the Tyrell girl. We also saw a lot of Varys this episode.

Arya and that group finally reached the base of the Bannerless Brotherhood. Anyone remember the name of the dude with the eye patch? The dude with the eye patch said he was sent orders from Ned Stark to kill The Hound's brother? Did I hear that correctly? I'm trying to remember if we actually saw Ned doing that in season one. Eye patch and the Hound seem like they have a history which is interesting. He tried to peg murders on him for killing Targaryen children but the Hound said he never did that. I think they said his brother did. I remember the Hound's brother but I don't remember what happened to him since he left King's Landing, but apparently he is living still.

The ending was epic. Thankfully Dany didn't give away the dragon, though obviously, we all saw it coming. She was never going to give away the dragon. The unsullied army is pretty epic as well.
